- Toward the end of January 2008, I finally decided I have had it with my unhealthy lifestyle. With the support of my fabulous husband, I lost 90 pounds. I'm now a proud mother to our first child, Charlotte, and am working to lose the pregnancy weight. ryc: See, I feel the same thing about Bonhoeffer. Everyone says what a great spiritual book it is (it's a classic) and I see that when I read it, but it's just not engaging enough for me. But then, I feel guilty because just because something doesn't engage me, if it's good for me, I should still read it, right? I don't know. I think I'll lay it aside until another time. Maybe God is telling now is not the time, and I will "feel the urge" when I really need to hear what he is saying.

It is going to be 33 degrees tonight and I want to bask in the wonderfulness of it all! :)
Sadly, the weather spikes again next week up to nearly 90.
